Hi everyone!
I hope you’re all having a fab day – I’m swinging by to share this card I created with the December Spellbinders Large Die Club Kit. It features a kaleidoscope frame and strip of diamonds, both of which have two layers, and then a panel that creates a diamond lace panel. The kaleidoscope frame fits over the panel for a smaller layered rectangle.
I first did all my die cutting. I wanted a gold and black theme, so first off I die cut out the frames with gold mirror cardstock and black cardstock. I then die cut out the stitching frame (with the coordinating outline die) from 110lb white cardstock. I also repeat die cut it twice on a black cardstock panel trimmed to 4′ x 5.25″ without the outline die, to create a lacy looking background panel.
I used gold metallic thread to stitch the panel, then overlaid the frame dies with liquid glue. I mounted it with foam squares over the top of the black die cut panel, then added a second layer of foam tape behind the black panel to give it a floating look when adding it to my white notecard. I also die cut the diamond strips from gold mirror card and black, and glued them together. I adhered it to the base of the stitched panel to form a landscape card.
The sentiment was created using the December Clear Stamp Kit Club, heat embossing ‘hey’ in gold and die cutting out with the coordinating dies. I then mounted them into the centre of my card with thin strips of foam tape. To finish I added a little more bling using Color Mix Color Essentials Gems in the centres of some of the stitching.
I hope you like this classy look – a great one that you can change up by switching out the black for a color and keeping the gold theme throughout.
