Hi everyone,
Thank you so much for all the love for the rustic card pair I shared the other day featuring Spellbinders Large and Small Dies of the Month! I decided to keep with the rustic theme and color combo for the Glimmer of the Month which features Curved Christmas Glimmer Borders.
To start, I glimmered the borders. I used the lacy border and the mesh border first, on a panel of kraft cardstock, adhering them together with tape first, then glimmering them at an angle with Matte Gold Glimmer foil I used the coordinating border die from the set to die cut the panel.
I then aligned the die cut panel on another panel of white Glimmer cardstock, and lined up the leafy holly border plate so that when glimmered it would just peep out from under the kraft panel. To glimmer, I used the gorgeous, christmassy Emerald Facets Glimmer foil. This is so gorgeous on white, and beautifully holographic. I also glimmered the sentiment from the set ‘Merry Christmas’ in Red Glimmer foil, lined up against the gold glimmer border. I then used foam tape to adhere it to the white panel.
For extra interest, I hung one of the ornaments from the Small Die of the Month. Its die cut from pale gold glitter cardstock, (and the topper from mirror gold) and layered onto a bottom layer of red cardstock. I hung it from pale gold thread, then mounted it onto the panel with foam squares, adhering the thread at the back. I finished by embellishing with my fashion gold dots!
These sets are so fun – and those borders card be used any time of year – not just christmas!
