Hello everyone! Have you been checking out the previews of the new release from Reverse Confetti? Well, today’s the day, and the release is now live! I’m excited to be joining in the. release blog hop today and have two projects to share with you. Stay tuned for the next stop on the hop!

My first card features the Tropical Leaves stamp and die set. I love these big leaves, and wanted to create more real estate on a card front so created a slim line card. I’m featuring a technique I recently saw Yana Smakula use in a video, (you can check it out here), creating overlapping outline images with the leaves, and then adding in color. I’m adding color using Copic markers, so I first stamped and colored each of the leaf images from the set then die cut them out. I also added some white gel pen highlights.

I took a slim panel of cardstock (3.5″ x8.5″) and stamped several of the leaves over the panel, rotating the images and overlapping them. Before adhering my colored leaves, I heat embossed one of the sentiments from the Lovely Day Sentiments set in white embossing powder on black. cardstock, trimmed it out and mounted it towards the bottom of the panel. I then added the leaves with foam squares and trimmed off the excess. To finish, I added some coordinating jewels for a little sparkle.

My second card features the Bloom stamp set. I stamped out all of the images in black ink, including two of each of the leaves and colored them with Copics again then die cut them out. I added gold and white gel pen too. For my background panel I used the new Peekaboo Cover Panel. This is super fun, you can flip up the little half circles to add dimension and texture!

I mounted the panel to a white note card with foam tape, and then adhered another white heat embossed sentiment from Lovely Day Sentiments. I then snipped up (oh the horror!) my blooms and arranged them around that sentiment, popping in some of the leaves and using different layers of foam squares for interest. I finished with a more jewels.

Your next stop on today’s hop is Olga Moss – have fun!

  1. These cards are amazing but the jungle leaves one really grabs my eye! I love those deep olive greens and how you stacked the die cuts on top of the uncolored stamping. This is just wonderful!

  2. Two lovely cards, the tropical leaves are so lush and your florals are beautifully coloured. Thank you for sharing this sweet inspiration!
