Hello there crafty friends!
I have two cards to share with you across today and tomorrow that feature stamps from Pink Ink Designs and an exciting discount just for my readers courtesy of The Craft Store (previously you may have known them as Hochanda)! Stay tuned for more details at the end of this post!
Both of my cards feature large 6×8 stamp sets from the Pink Ink Designs Flora series. These have a mix of outline stamps and shadow stamps for the colorist and the stamper alike!
My first card features the Rambling Rose set. I decided to stamp and watercolor it, and while normally I like to favor no-line watercolor (stamping in a pale ink then watercoloring to hide the line), this time I decided to go for a more bold outline. I stamped the image in a gray ink onto hot press watercolor cardstock.
To watercolor, I used Mijello Mission Gold watercolor tubes, and slowly built up layers of color to create a more classically colored bouquet. I of course added lots splatters and then stamped the fabulous bold scripty sentiment directly over the top in black pigment ink.
I did add a few translucent sequins to add subtle sparkle. What a fun way to also kick off Day 1 of The Daily Marker’s coloring challenge too!
