Hi Everyone!

I’m thrilled to be joining Pinkfresh Studio for their September 2020 Holiday Stamp and Die release blog hop today! You should have landed here from Hussena’s blog! There is a giveaway and promo details, along with all the stops on the hop are at the end of this post so stay tuned!

I created two cards today that both feature the Merry Little Christmas cling stamp. This has a gorgeous border with a removable sentiment in the centre so I couldn’t resist heat embossing it. I removed the sentiment from the centre before doing so, leaving a space to use a different sentiment. I used pink cardstock and Platinum WOW! embossing powder. I then colored it in with four shades of pink. Copic for a tone on tone look. If you want to avoid any damage to your copics from the heat embossing, you can also stamp the image first with a stamp positioner with embossing ink, color it in, then replace it and stamp again then heat emboss!

For my sentiment, I die cut ‘Happy’ and ‘Holidays’ from pink glitter cardstock using the new Phrase Builder Happy Holidays die set. I layered them on top of three more layers of white cardstock using liquid glue and then adhered them to the centre of my card panel.

For a little dimension, I grabbed the Pop Out Folk Christmas stamp and stamped, colored and heat embossed it in the same way, then die cut it out with the coordinating die. It works perfectly with the Merry Little Christmas stamp, you can see at the top where I popped up the holly leaves bough at the top!

I added some clear sparkle with Wink of Stella onto the leaves and birds, and then added TONS of Nuvo Drops in pink glitter. I did go a little crazy on the Nuvo Drops, but it added some fab texture and bling!

For my next card, I used the entire Merry Little Christmas stamp, with the centre replaced, and heat embossed it in Rich Pale Gold embossing powder onto teal cardstock. To add dimension, I added some dark blue and black ink blending up from the base of the panel, blending into the centre.

For texture, I added some water splatters, and white acrylic paint splatters, as well as some more Wink of Stella shimmer pen to the bird and leaves as before. I think. you’ll agree its a very different look to the pink! I just love the versatility of these pop out cling stamps!
