Hi folks! Are you enjoying the gorgeous new release from Gina K Designs? I know I am and it’s a joy to color in those beautiful Delightful Blooms florals designed by Arjita Singh!

I took a very similar approach to coloring in these florals as I did for the florals on my earlier blog post. I first stamped the image on cold press watercolor cardstock (I’m using Arches) in Gina K Warm Glow Amalgam ink. I then watercolored it using Arteza’s watercolor pan set which I’ve had for a while and got out for a change.

I mixed my own custom colors on the palette, and applied them with quite a lot of water relative to paint at first to keep them pale, then built up the layers and the color. To add depth, I also used my Stabilo Point 88 fine tip colors right into the corners and blended them out a little with a damp brush to add depth and contrast. I also used them to add a few finer details like leaf veins, and stamens.

As a finishing touch I added some splatters. I stamped the sentiment in black ink and mounted the panel onto a white note card with craft foam. I also added a few clear drops to finish!
