From Catherine: “Amber’s World was created by Amber Shaw, a talented illustrator in the Catherine Pooler Designs family. Shortly after completing her floral world, Amber, her husband and son lost their lives in a tragic house fire. We will be donating a portion of the proceeds from the sales of this stamp set to Amber’s surviving daughter throughout the month of October 2018. We are honored to keep Amber’s creative spirit alive.”

To create my card, I took an A2 panel of watercolor cardstock and adhered it to a glass mat with painter’s tape.  I added a few drops Sugared Lavender and Stone Blue Catherine Pooler re-inkers onto a glass mat. I spritzed the watercolor panel with water and then dropped some of each of the re-inkers onto the panel with a paint brush, letting it wick out and blend. As it dried, I also flicked some more re-inker over the top.  You get a much deeper color by using reinker rather than the inks, and it doesn’t dry back as much.  I also mixed a little water with Midnight ink and spattered it over the top.  The shimmer was from a few flicks of Lindy’s Stamp Gang Starburst Spray (Gag Me with a Spoon Grey).  When dry, I adhered the panel to a CPD Premium White notecard with foam tape, trimmed down to leave a 1/8″ border.

I stamped the globe from the stamp set in Versamark ink onto Premium White cardstock and heat embossed in WOW! Metallic Silver embossing powder.  I used the Stone Blue and Sugared Lavender inks smushed onto a craft mat and a paint brush to color in the images with a tiny amount of water to avoid paper warping.   I added clear Wink of Stella over the top of the larger florals.   I die cut out the globe and popped it up on the card panel with foam tape.

I heat embossed the sentiment in WOW! Bright White embossing powder onto Midnight cardstock and then fussy cut it out, and popped it up on foam tape.  As a finishing touch, I scattered some Pretty Pink Posh sparkling clear confetti.

I’ll have another card later this week using this set.   Also don’t forget, there is still time to sign up for Stampnation for 5 days for just $1!! This offer runs until Friday October 5th 2018 – see https://catherinepooler.com/stampnation/ for more details!
