It’s a new month tomorrow, and that means its time for a new challenge over at WOW! Embossing. It’s officially September and my favorite season is just around the corner (autumn) – I just love the crisp air and cooler but not quite cold days. Our theme this month is Christmas. It’s still over 3 months away, but time to start that stash!
I’m fresh off a kick of using Christmas stamps for non-xmas cards, so this time I’m using a non-xmas stamp (Round & Round from WOW!) in a Christmassy way! I used the circle stamp in the set as a xmas tree bauble!
The color combo of embossing glitters I used was a new one to me and works perfectly! I used Carousel (a pink toned red with chunks of gold glitter), Pearl Gold Sparkle (a pale gold with. gold glitter) and Aquamarine (from the Gemstone Trio. A bright blue-green with gold and dark glitter). I stamped the circular stamp three times in WOW! Embossing ink onto a panel of WOW! cardstock and heat embossed with each of these colors.
I kept the rest of the card really simple. I used a 0.5 Copic Multiliner to draw a line to each ‘bauble’ as a string from the top of the card and drew a little bow. I then stamped a sentiment that works PERFECTLY – it’s from Power Poppy’s Glistening Paperwhites. The bows weren’t quite enough for me so I grabbed a little gold thread and created bows on top of the baubles, secured with a blob of glue. A few sequins (Christmas Cove and Vegas Baby from Catherine Pooler) finished the card!
