Hi Everyone!

It’s almost a new month, and that means it is time for a new theme and challenge at WOW! Facebook Fans. Our theme this month is ‘Masculine’ and I love simple stencils to keep it clean and simple, which works great for masculine cards.

For my cards today, I created my own embossing paste by mixing WOW! Sparkles glitter and embossing powder with translucent embossing paste. I’m focusing on blues today for a monochromatic look, so I used WOW! Sparkles in Santorini, a beautiful shiny electric blue glitter mix, and paired it with WOW! embossing glitter in Vintage Peacock to add a little more rust but keep the blue. I add about a one part glitter to 2 parts paste but you can mix as much or as little as you like.

For my first card, I used Altenew’s Mountain Scene stencil. I laid it down on a 110lb 4.25 x 5.5″ panel of Neenah Solar White and added my paste then set it aside to dry. When dry, I used the same stencil (cleaned) to add in the shadow on the other side of the mountain. This time I just used ink blending with Altenew’s Eastern Sky which pairs really well.

For my reflection, I flipped around the stencil, then used a mix of Eastern Sky and Cloudy Sky, with some very light Eastern Sky around the edges. For a few splatters I used acrylic white spray and black spray. The sentiment was stamped in Altenew Obsidian ink. Don’t you love it? It’s from the Hello Gorgeous stamp set by Altenew. My husband just got a promo and so I thought it would be perfect!

My second card features the same color combo, this time I’m using the Altenew Buffalo Plaid Builder stencil. I did my ink blending first on this one using Eastern Sky, then rotated it and. used the remainder of my custom embossing paste.

For my sentiment I broke out the Altenew Mega Brush Alpha and made the word ‘Strong’ with the Obsidian ink. In LOVE with this stamp set!! It’s remarkably easy create custom words! I fussy cut out the word and popped it on foam adhesive onto dried panel. I also stamped out ‘stay’ from the Sentiments 2 stamp set and adhered it above. A great sentiment for the now times.

Be sure to head on over to the WOW! Embossing Facebook Fans Page and join in the challenge this month to win a GC with WOW!
