Hi Everyone!
It’s time for another Time Out Challenge – this time we’re challenging you to be funny! You could win $25 to spend with our sponsor CAS-ual Fridays!
For my card today I chose a humorous saying from a Coffee and Tea stampset by Simon Says Stamp. I heat embossed the saying in WOW! Opaque Bright White embossing powder on grey cardstock, trimmed out and set aside.
For my background, I used an A2 panel of white cardstock and stamped a takeout cup from Put A Pin In It by Catherine Pooler Designs in Twilight Ink. I then stamped the hearts from the SSS Coffee and Tea in CPD Stone Blue ink, and colored in the heart on the cups in a light pink Copic marker. I added the panel to a white 110lb Neenah Solar White card base. I also stamped the teabag from the same set in SSS Intense Black ink which is marker friendly.
I colored the tea bag in a variety of blue and pink Copics (well it is the 30 Day Color Challenge right now as well!) and then added some Nuvo Glitter Drops in White Blizzard. I trimmed out the teabag and tag (but didn’t bother with the string) and edged it with a Tuxedo Black Memento Marker.
I took a knife and made two small slits, one in the top of the teabag and one in the label. I used a little bit of hemp twine as the string by threading it through the slits and then securing it on the back with foam squares before adding it to my card panel. I then added the saying with foam tape and called it done!
