It’s a new month, and that means it is time for another WOW! Embossing Challenge. This month it is ‘Pastels’. You can join in by linking up at WOW! Embossing Powder Fans Facebook Group. You can be in with a chance to win $15!
For my card, I used one of my favorite pastel WOW! Embossing powders – Mint Macaroon. It’s a blend of pale blue and slightly darker blue – super pretty, with a pearly sheen. I stamped the Love Always hearts stamp by Concord & 9th in WOW! Embossing ink onto a panel of white cardstock and heat embossed in Mint Macaroon, leaving a white border at the top.
To create the Friend, I smushed some Milled Lavender and Spun Sugar Distress inks on a craft mat, spritzed with water and dunked some Tim Holtz watercolor cardstock into it. I dried it and repeated a couple more times. I die cut the Birch Press Design Big Friend die from the watercolored panel and then die cut some adhesive purple craft foam with the same die, and glued them together. I then popped it on the card panel, and coated it with Diamond Stickles for sparkle.
To finish, I added the Miss You sentiment stamped in Catherine Pooler Black Jack ink (from the Altenew Sincere Greetings set) and scattered a few sequins from Lucy’s Little Thingsh
