Hi Everyone!
I have been hoarding the gorgeous holographic cardstock from the recent Nuvo Dream in Color release but decided to break it out for my card today for the current Time Out Challenge.
The challenge is an embellishment challenge, with the added difficulty of a one-layer twist – I decided to consider the holographic cardstock an embellishment!
To create my card, I used the Stitched Maple Circle Frame die that I was sent by Memory Box. I created two top folding A2 card bases, one from holo cardstock and one from Cotton Candy pink cardstock.
The die itself has two circular frames you can snip apart if you want to. You can also snip out the main leaf in the centre, and the leaf frame. I actually kept them all together for die cutting so I could do some inlaid die cutting. I first die cut the frame die from the centre of the front of each of the card bases (I didn’t cut the back). I then adhered a panel of white cardstock inside the front panel, completely covered in dry adhesive.
I then proceeded to inlay the holographic die cut into the pink card base, and the pink die cut into the holographic card base. This is actually very quick and easy to do! I just love the way that holographic cardstock catches the light!
For my sentiments I used chipboard and stickers (another embellishment) from a recent Spellbinders Card Kit. So what do you think?!
Be sure to head on over and link up at Time Out Challenges. Andrea is our Guest Designer this week and be sure to check out her gorgeous cards for inspiration. We are also very luck to be joined by Jeanne from Birch Press Design with some more inpspiration using our sponsor’s amazing dies!!
