Hi Everyone!

It’s no surprise that I’m a massive fan of stars – Starlights is one of my fave sets from Catherine. I’m also a huge fan of Nuvo Drops and was super excited when I got my hands on the new Nuvo Dream Drops finally! I wanted to see if any of Catherine’s inks matched the new Dream Drops – well, drum roll, they do!

To create the card, I took an A2 panel of Premium White cardstock and stamped the largest star from the set in the centre using It’s a Boy. I then used one of the smaller stars and stamped it all the way around the large star in Mint to Be. I just used acrylic blocks, rather than the wreath stencil and eyeballed it (you can see through the stamp and as they are geometric it is pretty easy to line up the points on the stamped star with certain areas on the clear stamp to get it the same every time).

I carried on in this fashion using different images from the set – I used Rose Petals and Its a Girl. I then used the tiny stamps to embellish using Black Jack Ink. Finally, I stamped the sentiments in the centre with Midnight ink (I used a micron pen to fill in the ‘Star’ and a white gel pen to fill in the the ‘Super’).

I adhered the panel to a white notecard, then used my Nuvo Dream Drops to embellish the card. Here’s the colors I found matched (not all are used on the card):

Mint to Be: Dragon Scales

Just a Girl: Love Potion

Sweet Sixteen/Sugared Lavender: Fairy Wings

White cardstock/contrast with Black Jack: Cloud

Sugared Lavender: Indigo Eclipse

Tiara: Gold Luxe

I definitely want to try this more in the future!

Have fun!

Jenny
