Hi Everyone!
I’ve saved my favorite until last on my Tonic Studios Nuvo Dream in Color / Scrapbook.com featurette. Today, I’m showcasing the Nuvo Dream Drops. I have been so excited about these ever since I saw the new Tonic Craft Kit earlier this year and there were Dream Drops sneak peeked. These drops are simply gorgeous. They are pearlescent one color and iridescent another when you look at a different angle. Today I’m using Fairy Wings, Love Potion and Cloud.
I’m also using two more of the Dream in Color cardstocks – one of them is my new favorite – Holo Waves. It is a holographic mirror cardstockc – unbelievable. I die cut it with the the Altenew Mandala die and overlaid it on an A2 panel of the Lilac Waves cardstock (also beautiful).
I then proceeded to drop the Dream Drops at points on the Mandala as I liked, interchanging the Cloud, Fairy Wings and Love Potion. This does take a steady hand, however if you mess up a drop, while it’s wet, you can wipe it away without leaving a sign of it. I was trying to mimic the pointalism mandalas I’ve seen recently. What do you think?
When I was done, I set the pane aside for an hour to dry. My sentiment is from Altenew’s Focus on You stamp set, and I stamped it in a purple ink (Catherine Pooler Designs Sugared Lavender) on white cardstock and trimmed it out.
When the Nuvo Drops were fully dry, I popped the sentiment up onto the centre using a foam strip, and backed everything onto a white card base.
I wish you could see this in real life – these Dream Drops and the Holo cardstock are absolutely jaw dropping! You can get all of the supplies I used for this post today from Scrapbook.com, who kindly supplied me with some of the Nuvo Dream in Color collection to play with!
Have a wonderful day everyone!
