Hi Everyone!

I hope you’re all having a fab weekend – the warm weather has finally started arriving here – hurray! We went to the park and washed the cars! Honestly it was just nice to soak up some vitamin D!

I have a fun card for you today which uses some of the latest release from Catherine Pooler Designs – Tropical Treasures. I’m totally loving this release – Catherine’s designs often include tiny florals with co-ordinating dies, which I always mean to get around to using but hardly ever do. For this card I made a concerted effort to put aside some time for stamping and die cutting – tiny die-cutting!

A tip for creating a card like this – stamp wayyyy more images than you think you need. The above card used two A2 panels of Premium White cardstock crammed with stamped flowers and leaves! I also stamp in lines as I like to use a small die-cutter for this size of die – I use the Altenew Mini Blossom.

I stamped the flowers from Be Wild and One in A Million Mom in Grape Crush, Party Dress and All That Jazz, and the leaves in Lime Rickey. I did a couple of flowers in ombre by lightly tapping the stamp in two different inks. I then die cut them all out using the Mini Blossom. I cut the images into strips first so they’d easily go through the machine. Then I cranked the handle – a LOT!

For my background, I die cut the To The Point coverplate from Premium White cardstock and adhered it to a cardbase.

I created a custom card color by swiping It’s a Girl over some more cardstock. When it was dry (I used a heat tool to dry it), I heat embossed the sentiment from Be Wild in white over the top and trimmed it out. I adhered it to the card panel with foam tape.

I adhered all of the tiny die cut flowers and leaves to the panel. I did the flowers first, and tucked in the leaves at the end. I adhered some flat and some with small foam squares, tucking behind the panel and over laying it in places to add interest. I finished the card with sequins from the CPD Springfield and Aspen mixes, and some White Blizzard Nuvo Glitter Drops in the flower centres!
