Hi Everyone!
There’s still time to play along with the current Time Out Challenge – this week we challenge you to be Joyful! It’s a joyful time of year but it doesn’t have to be a holiday card – it could for any occasion you feel joy!
I chose to create a Christmas card as I’m running severely low and haven’t sent all of mine out yet (eek!). To create my card, I trimmed down a panel of Simon Says Stamp Schoolhouse Red cardstock to 4.25×5.5″. Before I dry embossed my panel, I liberally spritzed the SSS Debra stencil with gold mist (I used Heidi Swapp Color Shine but Nuvo and Altenew also have similar) and then carefully placed it down on the platform of my die cutting machine. I used an embossing sandwich in my Platinum 6 machine (stencil, cardstock, tan mat, embossing plate) but yours might be slightly different depending on your machine.
After removing the panel I left it to dry. I created my sentiment by die-cutting J, O, Y from gold glitter cardstock using the Altenew Fine Alphabet dies, which I adhered directly onto the card with liquid adhesive.
The sentiment is from a Catherine Pooler Designs set and was heat embossed in WOW! Gold on Midnight black cardstock, trimmed out and popped up on foam tape. I then adhered the panel to a white notecard.
Don’t forget to go link up over at Time Out Challenges to play along and be in with a chance to win a stampset of your choice from our kind sponsor Uniko. We also have the wonderful Chrissie joining us as Guest Designer this challenge, and she’s created two clean and simple beauties to inspire you!
Have a wonderful day everyone – I hope it is joyful!

I really like this idea of dry embossing using the stencil-what a great texture it gives and adding the gold looks stunning in this coloured base-a joyous card!
Rich and delicate, Jenny … there’s such a gorgeous luxury about this lovely design! Hugs, Anita 🙂
What a wonderful way to use a stencil. This is gorgeous, Jenny. I love it!
