From Catherine: “Amber’s World was created by Amber Shaw, a talented illustrator in the Catherine Pooler Designs family. Shortly after completing her floral world, Amber, her husband and son lost their lives in a tragic house fire. We will be donating a portion of the proceeds from the sales of this stamp set to Amber’s surviving daughter throughout the month of October 2018. We are honored to keep Amber’s creative spirit alive.”

To create my card, I first created an A2 cardbase from the grey cardstock in the CPD Smoke and Mirrors cardstock set.  I then treated it with a powder tool.

I used the small floral stamps and leaves from the Amber’s World stamp set, popping them onto several of the small square acrylic blocks by Catherine Pooler (these are an absolute essential, they’re so useful for quick stamping of tiny images).  I stamped the images all over the front of the card base, using Versamark ink. Because I already had my stamps prepped to go I didn’t need to emboss in between stamping. I started with the larger images and then worked down to smaller images, filling in the gaps.

I heat embossed the images with Wanderlust embossing powder – this is by WOW! and is exclusive to Catherine Pooler. It’s a clear powder with brilliant sparkle and shine.  I accidentally overheated one of the images in one corner and noticed that when overheated, the image went matte and took on an oil slick look!  I really liked it, so I overheated all of the images!

I filled in a few more gaps with the tiny heart from the set stamped in CP Ink in Sugared Lavender.  The sentiment was heat embossed in WOW! Bright White on CPD Midnight cardstock, which I then trimmed out and adhered in the centre with foam squares.  As a finishing touch I added some white confetti sequins.

Don’t forget, there is still time to sign up for Stampnation for 5 days for just $1!! This offer runs until Friday October 5th 2018 – see https://catherinepooler.com/stampnation/ for more details!  We have lots of WCMD fun going on all weekend!
