Hi Everyone!

There is still a chance to get your hands on the new Home for the Holidays Stamp of Approval from Catherine Pooler Designs!

I’m back and using the Festive Trimmings stampset (and add- on co-ordinating dies) yet again because LOOK AT THAT TREE! It’s so classic.  For this card, I am doing some emboss resist, using my inks as watercolor.
I first stamped the tree onto a panel of coldpress watercolor cardstock with Versamark embossing ink. I then heat embossed in WOW! Bright White embossing powder.  I then smushed some Catherine Pooler inks onto my glass mat, spritzed htem with water, and then painted them abstractly onto the panel over the embossed tree. The embossing resists the paint, and you can give it a little wipe with a dry baby wipe when the panel is dry.  I used CP Ink in Eucalyptus, Green Tea and Spruce for a classic Christmas feel.  I also flicked some drops onto the panel.  When dry, I mounted it onto a CPD Premium White notecard with double sided tape.

I die cut the Merry Christmas die from the collection from gold foil cardstock and adhered directly over the top of the tree with liquid adhesive.   I could have left it there, but I decided to add a tag. smushed some watercolor cardstock with some of the ink left on my craft mat.  I then die cut it with the Tiny Tags die.  I heat embossed the Warm Wishes sentiment from the Tiny Wishes set in WOW! Gold embossing powder and then popped up on foam tape.  A bow tied with gold thread at the top finished the card!

I hope you like it – I’m starting to feel christmassy an it’s only September!

Grab one while you still can:

Enjoy the new week next week!!
