Hi everyone!

We have a new Time Out Challenge going on, and this week the theme is Holidays, with a twist of creating a one layer card.  The holiday can be any of your choosing, but I went with Christmas – can’t hurt to start my card stash earlier this year eh?  (Who am I kidding, this will be the only one I make until December 23rd, you watch!!)

My card is a really simple one layer card featuring the Sketched Holiday floral stamp by Brutus Monroe.  I created a card base from 110lb Neenah Solar White and stamped the image directly onto the card in Versafine Onyx Black ink.  When it was dry, I did some really simple coloring with red, brown and green Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers, and a gold and clear Wink of Stella shimmer pen.

To add some dimension, I used glossy accents on the berries and flower centres.  Instead of embellishments, I stamped some star clusters from the PinkFresh Studio Festive Llama stamp set in Rockin’ Red Catherine Pooler ink.  The sentiment is also from the PFS set, stamped in Versamark and heat embossed with Ranger Superfine gold embossing powder.  This card probably took me no more than 15 minutes, but I really like how it turned out!

Be sure to join us over at Time Out Challenges, the winner will get a goodie bag of stamps and dies from our fabulous sponsor Seven Hills Craft and the Design Team will choose a winner to return as a Guest Designer for a future challenge.

This week’s Guest Designer is Ishani and she created a beautiful card for Diwali, be sure to check it out and visit her blog.

Hope you’re all having a wonderful week!
