Hi Everyone!
I’ve been playing with the awesome Cuppa Tea and Bordering Sweet stamp and die sets that are part of the Celebrate Friends with Tea selection of the new Catherine Pooler Designs Stamp of Approval Collection. (There is also a Celebrate Friends with Coffee box, which has different border dies and a Perfect Blend stamp set). As at writing this, there are still a few boxes left, so be sure to head on over to Catherine’s shop if you want to grab one (Supplies linked at the end). You can see here and here where I created other looks with the goodies in the Collection.
Card 1
For my first card, I took a panel of pale pink cardstock and repeat stamped the teabag image from the set in Be Mine ink (from the January 2018 Stamp of Approval collection). To help line up the images, I used light pencil lines which I erased afterwards. I trimmed down the panel and adhered it to a white card base using fun foam.
I stamped the Teapot image in Rose Petals, and the lid and base in It’s a Girl Catherine Pooler ink. I also stamped the floral image separately in It’s a Girl and the You, Me & a Cuppa Tea sentiment in Sugared Lavender. I also stamped the sentiment on my teabag panel in the same ink. I die cut out the flag of the sentiment, the florals and the teapot with the co-ordinating dies and popped them up on the card panel with foam tape.
I embellished with clear Nuvo drops including some dots along the scalloped edge of the teapot, the top of the lid. and the florals. A little Wink of Stella in clear on the sentiment flag and it was done!
Card 2
To create this card, I adhered a panel of the Black Tie Gala patterened paper to a card base. I then used the Bordering Sweet border die and die cut it twice, once from a scrap of watercolored cardstock (that I had painted with Be Mine ink and distressed with water) and gold mirror card. I adhered these with double sided tape to the side of the panel, overlapping so that the gold peeped through the pink border.
I added a small strip of black glitter cardstock to cover the seam between the patterned paper and the first border die cut. I covered the card panel with Sand Dunes cardstock behind the gold border and rounded the corners with a 1/4inch corner chomper.
Using the Cuppa Tea stamp set I stamped a teacup in Be Mine ink and the florals in Midnight ink on white cardstock. I stamped the florals again in Versamark and heat embossed in Gold. I also added a gold embellishment in the centre of the tea cup by heat embossing one of the co-ordinating cup stamps in the set (by the way, these are also fantastic for creating teeny tiny patterns). I die cut them out (using the smaller floral die for the heat embossed floral bunch), as well as the banner flag from the co-ordinating Cuppa Tea die set (it is an add-on to the Stamp of Approval box). I stamped the Hey There sentiment from Catherine Pooler Designs Faithful Flutterings into the centre of the flag in Midnight ink and edged it with the Be Mine ink to co-ordinate.
All of the die-cuts were popped up on foam tape and I added a couple of pink gemstones to add a last bit of sparkle. I love how the hot pink co-ordinates with the black and white paper!! Hope you like it!
