Hi Everyone
I’m channeling my inner Yana Smakula today and her amazing use of a scoreboard for her cards of late. I really wanted to give it a try and the current Time Out Challenge gave me an opportunity. I was inspired by this post from Yana, and used a gorgeous stampset provided by Verve Stamps who are our kind sponsors for the challenge this week to create my card.
To create my card, I first stamped the sentiment from the Verve Stamps Kindness Matters set in the centre of a Neenah Solar White 85lb cardstock panel in Simon Says Stamp Blue Violet. I then masked it off with a post it trimmed just slightly larger than the sentiment. I then stamped the larger flowers in SSS Thistle and the medium flowers in SSS Barely Blue. I wanted to add a tiny flower so I used one from an older Simon set from my stash and stamped it in SSS Lavender. I removed the mask and then used my scoreboard to score lines every half inch, stopping the score line up to the edge of the petals or the masked area of the sentiment.
I mounted the panel using fun foam onto a SSS fog grey card base. To finish, I added Nuvo drops into the centres of the flowes in Wisteria Purple, Duck Egg Blue and Raspberry Pink. I also added some Nuvo glitter drops around the panel in Silver Moondust.
This week at Time Out Challenges, the winner will receive a stamp set of choice from Verve Stamps (they have an awesome selection).
We are also joined by Verve owner Julee and Guest Designer Bobby, who have created some beautiful cards for inspiration! Be sure to play along!

Soft and so pretty, Jenny … gorgeous colours … love the contrast between the curves of the blooms and the cool graphic score lines! Hugs, Anita 🙂
Wow I really like this idea of using the scoring like this, really lovely touch and would make a fab background for a CAS card. Must be quite tricky to get it as accurate as you have. I adore the elegance of this card x
Jenny your score lines are outstanding!!!! What an amazing design!!!

So soft and pretty – the colours you used work so beautifully on those flowers. I love the scoring too – it adds the perfect amount of texture – I need to give it try. Thanks for the inspiration!
Well this is just gorgeous Jenny! And I had not seen Yana’s post, so of course now there are a few things in my basket. This is a great technique and I love the way you scored your lines so close together. It looks fantastic. Wonderful creation for the challenge! xx
Oh, this card is so very dreamy! The soft layered stamping and the scoreboard technique pair beautifully here.
