Hi everyone!
It’s an exciting day today because the new Stamp of Approval Love Is In The Air Collection is released! I hope you all have been enjoying the three days of hopping and sneaks and peaks and pajama parties – because today is the day!
To celebrate I have one more card for you created with the collection. This one uses the Bon Voyage stamp set and accoutrements add-on that Catherine showed on one of her pre-release videos.
Create the card:
I stamped the ‘Sending Love’ sentiment in CPD Sweet 16 ink using my MISTI on an A2 size panel of CPD white card stock, shifting it down a square for each stamping down the left side of the panel. I then overlayed this with the Love compass stamp inked up in Royal Treatment (one of my favorite ink colors by CPD). On a separate piece of card stock I stamped the suitcase in Flirty Fuchsia and again in Pixie Dust and die cut the flag and the suitcase out using the accompanying dies. I popped the suitcase up on the panel and the flag over the suitcase using foam tape in both cases for extra dimension.
I created some custom cardstock using CPD ink and die cut the starburst from the accoutrements die set. It has a cute little heart in the centre that also cuts, so I popped that on the banner on the suitcase and added some glossy accents and wink of stella for a little shimmer. I adhered the starburst with a glue dot over the compass and inlaid a white heart with glossy accents and wink of stella in the centre.
I stamped the arrow from the set directly onto the card and also over the Love Banner from the set which was die cut from white cardstock. I popped it up on the card so it looks like the arrow is going over the banner (optical illusion!!). To finish I added the small diecut heart from the banner in the centre colored with ink, and yes you’ve guessed it – glossy accents and wink of stella!
I hope you’ve been enjoying all of the fun that has been going on for this fantastic release. I’ve provided links below and you’ll notice that there are some AWESOME new acrylic blocks in the release including a long bar and some round blocks. I have used the current blocks a ton during my stamping – they are so comfortable to hold and I highly recommend, even if you have a MISTI, that you have some great acrylic blocks to hand. I couldn’t have done the banner stamping above easily without them.
Have a wonderful day and enjoy the new SOA!!
