Hi Everyone! The release of the latest Craft Your Life Project Kit from Altenew is fast becoming my favorite part of the month (actually when I receive the kit in the mail is probably the winner!) Today’s kit – Vintage Tapestry – is so pretty! Lots of little layered florals, that can be combined into beautiful patterns, with embellishment from stencils and dry embossing! Today’s post is part of a blop hop – you should have arrived here from Linda Parker‘s blog! If not, head on over to Altenew’s blog to start at the beginning!
I’ve created two projects with the kit today, using the guides in the stamp sets to create the arrangements. I just love these long swags of color! I used an array of Crisp Dye Inks for my florals in this first card – yellows, reds, purples and greens! Several of the images are from the layering stamp set, and I filled them in with the stencil in the kit.
The yellow florals were created with the stencil, and the three main flowers are from the stamp set. I also stamped on the of the sentiments in Obsidian Black ink under the florals.
I trimmed down the panel to 3.75″ x 5″ and added a few splatters using a paintbrush and Jet Black Ink Spray. I mounted the panel onto Jet Black cardstock and then onto a white notecard. I also finished with a few clear gems and sequins.
For my second card, I first dry embossed a panel of white cardstock with the embossing folder in the kit. I then stamped several of the flowers and leaves and die cut them out with the coordinating dies.
I used the flat area of the dry embossed panel to stamp a sentiment from the set, then adhered all of the leaves and florals in places overlaying the dry embossed florals, so tha thte dry embossing weaves in seamlessly with the stamping. I added a few more Jet Black Ink Spray splatters and slipped a few Antique Gold sequins in here and there to finish.

Love your use of this set, just beautiful.
Both of your cards are just stunning.
Both cards are fantastic, however I especially love that the first one is just inks and stamping, so that newbies who don’t have die cut machines can still do pretty stuff.

Beautiful cards. Thanks for sharing!
It changed up the look so much just by not using the outline.
Both cards are beautiful! I especially love the single layer card as I really struggle to create those.
