Hi Friends! How is your summer going? I’m staying inside near the AC as much as I can – the humidity has been super high here recently – and inside means crafty time! I’m excited to share a project today featuring a brand new stamp set from Gina K Designs designed by the amazing Arjita Singh – it’s called Happy Flowers, and is available for online purchase right now!

My project features on the big single bloom but I will be sharing another project featuring the larger bouquet on another post. The bold lines and wide open spaces make it perfect for coloring.

I decided to opt for alcohol marker coloring this time, using four different shades of purple-pink-marker to get a good blend and create the illusion of dimension. I stamped it in black ink and then when done, trimmed it out and edged around the outer edge with black marker. I also added some white gel pen onto the stamens.

For the background, I used the leaf stamp and stamped three times off to the side in a contrasting mint color, pale so that it enabled me to stamp the sentiment directly over the top in black ink, keeping it clear. I mounted the flower off up to the side. using foam tape, and then added a few sequins and gold drops to finish!

Be sure to check out the entire release, it’s absolutely gorgeous!
