Hello everyone! I have a couple of cards to share with you today that feature the new Delightful Darlings collection designed by the awesome Mayline Jung for Spellbinders. I just love this style of character – these are super cute!
I really enjoyed coloring these images. My cards feature the Delightful Bouquet and the Delightful Hugs sets. I really wanted a coordinated set, so decided to go for a pink/aqua theme, and both of them got blue rinse purple hair, like today’s hip teens like!
I colored the images with Copics stamped on X-Pressit Cardstock, then fussy cut them out and edged them with black marker to tidy them up. I also added some fun polka dots with a white gel pen, and shine on the glasses, teddy and shoes/lips.
For the backgrounds, I took two panels of white cardstock, and splattered with a little black dye ink mixed with water. I aligned where I wanted my image then stamped the sentiments in black pigment ink. I also stamped a couple of little hearts and flowers.
Before mounting the images, I added a slim strip of washi tape along the bottom to tie in with the colors and ground the girls. I mounted them on foam squares and then onto a white notecard. Super clean and simple!
