Gold Tag Christmas Card | Gina K Designs

Hi Everyone!

I’m starting to build up my Christmas cards stash – it’s next month!! The new release from Gina K Designs is still on my desk so I decided to whip up something inspired by them.

I first created a background using one of my favorite techniques – creating my own DIY Glitter Paste. I wanted to spread the glitter paste over an ink blended background, for which I used the Gina K Lovely Lace stencil. I attached it to white cardstock and ink blended some pale blue and pink ink. I mixed Your Carriage Awaits Sparkles by WOW! Embossing with translucent paste and spread it over the stencil without moving it off the ink blending. I then lifted it up. and set it aside to dry.

I heat embossed the tag from the Seasons of Joy stamp set in WOW! Metallic Rich Pale Gold embossing powder onto Metallic Gold cardstock, and trimmed it out, punching a hole at the top through which I added some hemp twine with a dash of gold in it.

I mounted the tag onto the now dry glitter paste panel with foam tape and then adhered it to a white notecard with craft foam for dimension, wrapping the twine in between the layers first. The sentiment is from the new Gina K Designs Handlettered Holiday stamped in black ink and mounted over the top of the tag. I finished with a few Spellbinders pearls.
