Hi Everyone!
Spellbinders has made available some of its previously released card kits and one of them is the Sparkling Holidays kit from last October. You can grab it here. There are so many goodies packed into these kits including die cuts, dies, patterned paper (including foiled sheets), cardstock including mirror cardstock, jewels, stickers and sentiments, everything you need to make lots of holiday cards – even the bases and adhesives!
I created three cards with the kit which I hope will give you some inspiration as to what you can do with the kit.
I just loved the sets of die cuts you get in the kit – I used them a lot on the cards I made, backed with the patterned paper. This floral bouquet was created with the die cuts, and even a sentiment sticker, all backed onto foiled patterned paper – I thought the woodgrain worked well with the flowers.
I just love the glitter elements on the flowers and leaves. I added a few silver fashion dots to add some glitter and tie in with the foil. I added more dimension by curling up petals and leaves a little.
My next card features the christmas ornaments – I strung them onto a piece of iridescent ribbon I had in my stash then used foam to adhere them to the gorgeous marbled foiled patterned paper.
I adhered a sentiment diecut and then also die cut the word Holidays using the die in the kit from the silver mirror cardstock, then adhered it over the top. Again I added a few fashion silver embellishments to finish.
My final card features this starry night patterned paper – I actually trimmed off the swan and adhered some of the christmas trees over the top with foam squares as if they were glowing!
I added a die cut sentiment using the mirror silver cardstock and dies from the kit, a reindeer flying from the trees and a few of the die cut stars. To finish I added a few crystals from the kit into the trees.
These cards were super quick to make and I had almost all of the kit left over – the possibilities really are only limited by your imagination on these!
