Hi Everyone!

I have a card to share with you today but first off I want to announce the recent Spellbinders Hop winner (a little late on my part!) The winner is…

Congratulations! Please contact  socialmedia@spellbinders.us  with the subject line. “Spellbinders October 2020 Blog Hop Winner from the Jenny’s Blog

My card today features some of the supplies from the recent Christmas release to create a gold and Navy shaker (probably one of my favorite color combos recently!)

To create my card, I used Navy Cotton Lettra Letterpress cardstock. Mine is from CutCardStock, and it’s great for glimmering. I used the Christmas Essential Glimmer Rectangles and glimmered it onto the cardstock using Matte Gold Glimmer foil using my Glimmer Hot Foil System. I then die cut out the centre and around the outside using the plain dies from the Nestabilities Essential Rectangles.

I added acetate to the back of the window and then a double layer of foam tape all around the window, and set to one side. I then die cut a second panel of the Navy cardstock and spattered it with white and gold splatters. I piled up lots of gold sequins onto the centre of the panel when dry, and adhered my window. I then mounted entire piece onto a Navy cardbase leaving a small border.

To finish my card, I die cut the ‘Joyous’ and ‘Wishes’ from FSJ Gold Mirror cardstock and adhered them directly to the window with liquid glue, being careful not let any squeeze out around the edges. I love full card panel shakers, and these glimmer frame plates are just perfect borders!
