There’s a brand new release from Spellbinders this week and until August 16th the are offering a free set of Jane Davenport Wonderland StoryTime Paint Pens with a $75+ Purchase ($39.99 value). Spellbinders sent me a set to play with and I created a couple of fun projects with them.
My first project features a clean and simple card – in the ‘in style’ slim-line look – that I created by using a T-ruler to draw lines with the Paint Pens, and then color in the bands. The chunkier pens in the set were perfect for this and give great coverage. There are also slimmer nib pens in the same colors for finer coloring.
I also added a few white gel pen embellishments and a stamped sentiment. I then backed it onto black cardstock, Great for a masculine card. The sentiment is from a Fun Stampers Journey stamp set released a few months ago.
I also wanted to see if I could stamp with the ink in the pens – and it works. perfectly! I decided to stamp on a canvas pencil case I have and I used my MISTI to do it so I could repeat stamp in case it didn’t work first time.
I used another the same FSJ set for the sentiment. (using black ink from my stash) and the flowers are also from a recent FSJ stamp set. I put the stamp in my MISTI and then colored it in with my chosen Paint Pen pen then stamped. It worked so well! I used multiple colors across each stamp and added few clear sequins to embellish, held in place with a little silver thread. Isn’t it cute!?
