Celebrating 5000 Subscribers on YouTube | Video Hop + GIVEAWAY

Hi Everyone! I’m SOOOOOOO EXCITED! I recently hit 5000 subscribers on YouTube and to celebrate, I have joined up with my friends Ardyth and Kathya who also hit these milestones recently to CELEBRATE! We are hosting a video hop on YouTube with a bunch of our crafty friends, and there are prizes!

My card is a super fun one – lots of embossing and sparkle because OF COURSE THERE IS! I just had to. WOW! Embossing, Ellen Hutson, Pretty Pink Posh, A Jill Vance Designs, Catherine Pooler Designs and Birch Press Design are all sponsors on our hop, so I’ve tried hard to feature them on my card today!

To create my card, I first created an ink blended background. I use Bristol Smooth cardstock for ink blending as it’s the smoothest for blending and really stops me getting any brush marks. I used Catherine Pooler Inks for my background and discovered a new combo that I LOVE – from top to bottom, Pink Champagne, Sangria, Juniper Mist and Midnight.

I then created my own embossing paste, using Translucent embossing paste by Dreamweaver, mixed with WOW! Sparkles glitter. I used Celebration as that is theme for our hop, and mixed it up with a good dollop of the paste, then smoothed it over the top of my ink blended panel using the Catherine Pooler Roses stencil and set it aside to dry.

For my sentiment, I heat embossed a panel of cardstock then die cut out the ‘Hugs’ by Birchpress Design. For my embossing powder I used WOW! Rose Glintz mixed with WOW! Changers Glisten which makes it beautifully sparkly! I adhered it to the second die cut from the set (cut from vellum). I also embossed this pretty flower from Altenew (free in the mail as part of their 6th anniversary!) using ordinary Rose Glintz and fussy cut it out. I popped the Hugs onto foam adhesive and onto the vellum, then hid foam adhesive behind the die cut and vellum and adhered it to my now dry embossing paste panel, trimmed down to 4″ x 5.25″.

My sub sentiment is from Taylored Expressions and I heat embossed it in WOW! Metallic Silver and popped it under the Hugs. As a finishing touch, I added some 6mm and 4mm Pretty Pink Posh Rose Gold sequins (perfect to go with the Rose Glintz!) and then adhered the panel to a white notecard.
