Hi Everyone! I’m over on the WOW! Embossing blog today! I’ve been loving the rainbow kick recently, for WOW!’s monthly theme. I decided to see if could recreate the Altenew Polish Papercuts card I made recently using rainbow colors – rainbow embossing glitters no less.

This time I used the same rainbow colors as I did for my earlier butterfly card last week – Ruby Romance, Sunset Boulevard, Picnic Basket, Lime Ricky, Pacific Wave, Sugared Almond and Pink Sherbet. I inked up cardstock then heat embossed it before doing the die cutting. A LOT of die cutting. I have created a video of the process which you can check out on YouTube.
For my neutral colors, I used WOW! Metallic Silver Sparkle, and Midas Touch. The latter has a nice antique look to it, that co-ordinates well with Silver Sparkle. I liked to use the neutrals in and amongst the rainbow colors to keep it a little more subtle.

I laid out the die cuts onto a panel of WOW! cardstock using foam squares and liquid glue – to create dimension, in some cases I used double layers. I heat embossed a sentiment from Taylored Expressions in Metallic Silver Superfine on black cardstock and popped it over the top of the die cuts with foam tape.

To bring the black out into the rest of the card, I used black sequins. This card is so sparkly in real life!
