Here’s a look at the new stamps being released – aren’t they gorgeous! Our hop is focusing on Beautiful Blooms, designed by the amazing Alex Syberia. While I love to see your comments on here, be sure to leave them over on Instagram to be in with a chance to win.
To create my card, I stamped the HUGE Beautiful Blooms main stamp twice on a panel of Bristol Smooth cardstock cut to 8.5″ x 3.5″ using Versafine Onyx Black ink. I wanted to cover the entire panel but leave a space for a sentiment.
I colored in the flowers by blending Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I didn’t use any water, but instead, just used light and dark pens to add shadow and contrast. They blend together beautifully on Bristol Smooth. I also flicked on some water and some of the purple and pink marker blended with water to add fun texture to the images.
I used the ‘Thank You’ sentiment from the same stamp set and stamped it directly onto the card panel. I then stamped the ‘You’re So Talented’ from the Favorite Card Maker stamp set in WOW! Embossing ink onto a strip of black card stock and heat embossed in WOW! Opaque Bright White embossing powder. I then trimmed it out and popped it up on foam tape.
To add a little sparkle, I added some Nuvo iridescent Crystal Gems around the card. I love how these pick up whatever color you add them over!
