Hi Everyone!

I’m just loving seeing all the beautiful projects everyone is creating with the new Color Bursts from Catherine Pooler and Ken Oliver. I wanted to share another project with you today, this time using a stencil to add texture.

To create my card I took a slightly larger than A2 panel of watercolor cardstock and spritzed it liberally with water. I then used the Suede Shoes Color Burst and tapped it over the panel and let it burst out – can you believe that all those colors are just from one Color Burst?!

Before it started dry, I overlaid the the Polka Heart Stencil over the top and then laid a large acyrlic block on top and then left it to dry for an hour or so.

After it dried I removed the stencil and it leaves behind all this gorgeous texture!

I kept the card simple – the sentiment is from the Isn’t She Lovely set stamped in Juniper Mist and It’s a Boy ink and die cut. I popped it up on foam tape and then added some Nuvo Crystal Glaze to gloss it up. I embellished with Nuvo Crystal Drops in Morning Dew and some CP Glacier Bay sequins.
