Hi Everyone!
I’m back with another way to use that gorgeous Poignant Poppies stamp set from the latest Catherine Pooler Designs release.

I just love the poppy images in the stamp set and I went a little crazy with an all over layered stamp background.
I stamped the two main poppy images starting with the solid stamp, all over an A2 panel of CPD Sand Dunes (kraft colored) card stock, rotating the stamp as I went, trying to fit them as closely together as possible. I then went back over with the second, third and outline layers, making sure the ink had dried in-between (this helps each of the layers stand out better). The colors I used from lightest to darkest were Polished Coral Cabana, Rouge, and Peppermint Scrub for the outline.

To add a little definition, I blended some Polished ink with a blender brush lightly round the edge of the panel and dried it. I then stamped the largest sentiment from the set directly into the centre with embossing ink, and heat embossed with WOW! Metallic Rich Pale Gold embossing powder. (While it is a little hard to see in the photos, it stands out well against the background in real life). I then mounted the panel onto a white card base.

I decided as an afterthought to stamp another poppy again on a separate piece of Sand Dunes cardstock, and then die cut it out with the co-ordinating dies. I also stamped one of the leaves twice and die cut them out. I used Sage, Spruce, and Eucalyptus. I also added a little Clear Wink of Stella over the poppy and then popped it up on foam squares onto the main panel.
Hope all of you have a wonderful day!
Jenny
