I’m excited to be over on the WOW! Embossing blog today with five techniques that all use clear embossing powder – just clear! You can get some amazingly different looks with just this one special powder – I actually used Matte Clear and Gloss Clear in these projects, but you can totally use either for all of these. My first card uses WOW! Clear Gloss embossing powder on black cardstock. You can use this technique for creating an enamel type look.
It works particularly well with black cardstock, Clear Gloss Superfine embossing powder, and very detailed stamped and repeated patterns.
My second card features two different techniques – creating gloss sentiments with embossing powder and a brushed metal look, using Matte embossing powder on metallic cardstock.
I love this look and it works best with more solid stamp images.
My fourth technique uses patterned paper emboss resist along with opaque ink.
You can go as bright or as subtle as you like!
My final technique uses colored cardstock and opaque Distress Oxides to mimic colored embossing powder.
This can really increase your colored embossing powder collection!
