Hi Everyone!
It’s time for another Time Out Challenges which runs until next Wednesday. For this challenge, we are asking for projects inspired by the phrase “Smile, it’s the key that fits the lock of everybody’s heart“.
For my card, I used supplies almost entirely from the Spellbinders April Card Kit. There was a key die in it and I just really wanted to use it to create a repeating die cut background. I die cut the key several times from Spellbinders silver mirror card stock and adhered them to the card base (included in the kit). I eyeballed them to line them up, using the grid on my craft mat as a guide, and trimmed off the excess.
I used a Hero Arts Heart Infinity die to die cut some translucent woodgrain white paper, and then die cut the two detailed frames from the kit in the same mirror cardstock. I layered the heart and frames with foam squares and adhered with foam squares to the base. I die cut the circular frame again from Tonic Studios Burnished Rose mirror cardstock and added the circle into the centre on foam tape. The Hi sticker and Smile and Today sentiments were also from the kit and adhered with more foam squares. No stamping on this card today!
I hope you like it! Don’t forget to link up with the challenge. You could be chosen to win your choice of 3 stencils from Sarah Gray’s Funky Fossil Designs. We are also joined this week by Guest Designer Amanda – her card inspiration this week is SO cute!!
Have an awesome week folks!

This card is so elegant Jenny-for for a Queen! I love the background-pretty good eye balling. The centre is just like a broach-perfectly Regal to match the card!
So elegant and stylish, Jenny … a realy luxury design! Hugs, Anita 🙂
Gorgeous and elegant. I love your focal point, and those embossed keys are fantastic.
Sorry to be so late in coming by to tell you how much I love this gorgeous, elegant and wonderful card, Jenny. Love all of the elements you used. Those keys are placed perfectly – I thought they were done with background stamp at first. Love the heart and the beautiful die cuts on top and the sentiment pieces. Just fantastic all around.
