Hi everyone!
I’m not officially on the blog hop today (Day 3 is in full swing!) but I wanted to pop in with another couple of cards that I created with the new Stamp of Approval Tropically Yours Collection.
If you’re not familiar with Stamp of Approval, you’ll find out a lot about it by checking the info here. In a nutshell, it is a quarterly themed collection of stamping products that all co-ordinate and can be used alone or together along with some ink, cardstock or other embellishments to create tonnes of different kinds of projects. It often sells out like lightning and there is a waitlist ahead of time to place an order just in case it does sell out on release day.
I’ll say it again – this release is amazing. It is chock full of tropical florals and leaves, borders, dies, awesome sentiments and FLAMINGOS (oh and an awesome grungey background stamp that I’ll show you tomorrow)! And if that’s not all, the Collection comes with a downloadable Project Guide with tonnes of ideas to inspire you. The full release is July 18th so make sure you get on the waiting list if you don’t want to miss out!
I’ve created two cards today using the same die and sentiment stamp from the Fearless Pursuit stampset and co-ordinating add-on dies.
To create both cards, I stamped the main sentiment from the Fearless Pursuit stampset in Tutti Fruitti and Grass Skirt onto white cardstock A2 panels. I stamped each twice (so four panels). I used a MISTI so that the sentiment was stamped in the exact same place on each panel.
For the card above, I die cut one of the Fearless Pursuit trees from a Grass Skirt panel in the centre of the sentiment. I then added foam squares and adhered the tree over the top of the Tutti Fruitti sentiment panel, lining up the words exactly. I adhered the panel to a white card base.
For the card above, I adhered the Grass Skirt panel to a white card base. I then die cut the same tree again from the other Tutti Fruitti panel to create a window. I added clear plastic behind the window and foam tape to creat a shaker ‘well’. I trimmed down the Tutti Fruitti panel to make lining it up easier.
To add my sequins, I sprinkled them into the centre of the Grass Skirt sentiment panel then overlaid the Tutti Fruitti panel over the top, lining up the sentiment. This can be a bit tricky, make sure you have less sequins than you think you need, and that they are all in the area where the top of the tree goes – when the window is adhered down, they’ll naturally shake down the trunk.
And that’s it! Two for the price of one! Don’t forget that some of the Creative Team are doing their Blog Hop thang (day 3) today – be sure to check it out starting over at Catherine’s Blog and watch out for release day tomorrow when I will be back with another card to share, created using the new Collection.

Your cards are beautiful and I love the colors of inks you used. I haven’t tried these inks as yet, but I love the names and the vibrant colors. Thank you.
