Hi Everyone
Zooming in for a really quick card which I created for the Less is More challenge – to create a card in your country’s flag colours. I am from the UK so I have red, white and blue. And I live in the USA which is by happy coincidence also red, white and blue 🙂 So I created a green and yellow card. Just kidding.
For my card I created a cardbase in Neenah Solar White 110lb cardstock and using the Splash stencil by Tim Holtz, I gentle blended on Faded Jeans Distress Oxide ink up from the corner getting lighter as I blended up.
I then stamped a bloom from Power Poppy’s Soothing Sympathy on Neenah Solar White in Versafine Onyx Black ink and cut it out with my Scan and Cut. I attached it to the card base with foam squares.
The sentiment by CZ Designs (which seems to be my go to sentiment set at the moment!) was heat embossed on a scrap of red cardstock using white Hero Arts embossing powder. I then trimmed it out and adhered it with liquid glue and foam tape. As a finishing touch, I added some sparkly red Stickles.
That’s it – hope you enjoyed.
Have a fabulous weekend.

Jenny I’m awe-struck! This is an absolute beauty and depicts those red, white and blue colours perfectly. Simple CAS brilliance and I’m thrilled to see you play along at Less is More. x
Thanks Sarah! I snuck it in with 30 mins left to go 🙂
Stylish perfection! I love, love, love the soft stencilled background and dimensional poppy. Layering the sentiment through it was a genius touch! Fabulous card. Thanks so much for playing along with us at Less is More 🙂
