Hi everyone!
I’m back with another AAA Cards Challenge – this week it is watercolour! The challenge this week is sponsored by Uniko and there is a chance to win any in stock stamp set of your choice. We also have special Guest Designer Michelle, make sure you go check out her blog!
For my card this week I used an image from the wonderful Power Poppy set Go Wild. I heat embossed it with Ranger Superfine Gold embossing powder using versafine ink on Strathmore cold press paper. I then watercolored it using Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and a waterbrush.
I drew in a line for the ground using a brown marker and watercoloured it out using my water brush.
For the background I used an old background stamp by Hero Arts. I masked the main image with Inkadinkado masking paper and then stamped the background stamp in Simon Says Stamp fog ink to give some texture. I then stamped the sentiments in Versafine Onyx Black ink. As a finishing touch I scattered some Pretty Pink Posh sequins in Sparkling Clear adhered with Ranger Multi Medium Matte. The whole piece was backed onto a Neenah 110lb Solar White card base.
Super easy and quick to do, and really effective! I hope you’ll join in the fun at AAA this week, make sure you head on over to the blog to check out the wonderful creations the other DT have come up with.
Have an awesome weekend,
Jenny
oh Jenny this is like a piece of art, the gold embossing is perfect with these colours and I love how you grounded the image plus that subtle background x
Ditto what Sandie said – you'll be running out of wall space soon as this is another one that needs framing!
So pretty, so perfect and such a work of art! Gorgeous choice of colour and an elegant little scene. You're a whizz with those water colours. x
