Hi everyone!
Back with a reminder that there is still time to join this week’s Time Out Challenge – we have a photo inspiration for Home Sweet Home this week and it is gorgeous! Please pop on over and see the fabulous inspiration the DT have also come up with, particularly our Guest Designer this week – Hazel. Her website is so cool, and she has great CAS cards.
For my card this week I literally HAD to make a shaker card – why? Because I’d just received a recent order from Simon Says Stamp with a bunch of sequins and the Tutu and Champagne mixes by Lucy’s Little Things were such perfect colors.
I first die cut the butterfly using the Flutter die from Concord & 9th out of some of the gorgeous new Simon shimmery card stock. I then adhered a small window of acetate behind the butterfly with some Tombow Mono Multi liquid glue and then surrounded it with a double layer of foam tape.
I then tipped my sequin mix into the compartment and backed it with some woodgrain white cardstock for a subtle background. I then adhered it all with double sided tape to a Neenah Solar White 100lb card base. As an after thought I added a few splatters with a paintbrush of Heidi Swap gold spray. (I protected the butterfly with a scrap of card)
Finally for the sentiment I heat embossed a sentiment from The Ton’s Get it Girl on vellum in their GORGEOUS rose gold embossing powder. It’s such a pretty light pinky gold shimmer. I adhered the strip with glue dots and tape on the back. Finally I scattered a few sequins from the Lucy Mix on the front.
I do hope you’ll join in this week’s challenge, it’s such a gorgeous color combo – have fun!!!!
Jenny

A beauty, Jenny … such an elegant shaker butterfly … it's fluttering perfectly across the card between those yummy splatters! Hugs, Anita 🙂
