Hi everyone!
I was playing with my Daniel Smith watercolors and decided to create a card for the Happy Little Stampers Design Team call. I took a panel of Arches Cold Press watercolor paper and using Versamark Ink and Ranger Superfine embossing powder in silver, I embossed the smallest feather from the Papertrey Ink Feather Finery stamp set all over the panel.
Using my Daniel Smith watercolors in Duochrome Aqua, Primatek Rhodonite Genuine (so sparkly and pretty) and Moonglow and a 1/2″ flat brush to create a soft background wash. After it dried I added one more layer to deepen the colors slightly. I then die cut the panel using the Simon Says Stamp Wavy Scallop Stitches die.
The entire watercolor panel was popped up on foam tape to a Simon Says Stamp 120lb white card base. For the sentiment I used the same Papertrey Ink Set, stamped it on the SSS white card in Versamark Onyx Black ink and popped it up on foam squares. For a final touch I scattered some sequins and seed beads by Little Things by Lucy adhered with Ranger Multi Medium Matte.
It’s really shiny and sparkly in real life!!
Have a lovely evening 🙂

Oh I love this background, gorgeous colour change and looks amazing with the silver embossing, especially love the subtle placement of the sequins. Good luck with the DT call. I am hoping to enter the CAS call x
What a beautiful and subtle background. I love those embossed feathers.
Wow great design & your watercoloring is awesome!!!
