Hello everyone!
It’s that time of the month where we share inspiration for using your Spellbinders Kit Clubs! There is of course a giveaway and a bonus promo going on too! Stay tuned for more details as well as the next stop on the hop!
I’m featuring the Glimmer Kit Club for December which is a wonderful interchangable frame set of plates with framed sentiments and also a central sentiment. I created my card to be soft in coordinating rose and pale colors. I glimmered the images from the kit in Blush Glimmer Hot foil, using the berries/fruit plate and the flowers plate – no sentiment this time – onto pale Pearlescent Barely Blush cardstock – this is from Tonic and foils beautifully!
I also used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to color in the images, then fussy cut it out.
My background features a pale woodgrain cardstock (from Altenew) which I die cut with the Spellbinders Nestabilities Essential Label die and behind it I placed some rose mirror cardstock (from an older Spellbinders card kit) and adhered to a white Card Shoppe notecard.
I decided to dry emboss rather than foil the centre sentiment from the kit. I used some holographic/iridescent pale pink cardstock (from Erin Lee Creative – discontinued now, but there are lots holo cardstocks out there). It’s simple to dry emboss your Glimmer. plates – I first die cut the cardstock as die cutting it after would flatten the dry embossing. I then adhered the plate to the die cut with washi tape and ran through my platinum using the embossing sandwich et voila! Sometimes there is a little cracking depending on the cardstock used so you do have to experiment. Doesn’t it look fab!? I simply popped it up in the centre with foam sqaures and then I added a few Nuvo Dream Drops to finish!
