Hi there everyone!
Today I’m sharing my second card (check out the first here in case you missed it) that feature stamps from Pink Ink Designs and an exciting discount just for my readers courtesy of The Craft Store (previously you may have known them as Hochanda)! More details at the end of this post!
Today I’m featuring the Flamboyant Fuchsia card from the Flora series of stamps. This is another 6 x 8 stamp set featuring solid florals and a large outlined image. I decided this time to create a heat embossed card with a little drama (and still a touch of coloring).
I started by heat embossing the main outline image with WOW! Embossing Primary Fuchsia Fusion embossing powder, slightly off the edge of a panel of white cardstock.
I then ink blended pale ink to darker ink to black ink out towards the edges. The inks I used were Catherine Pooler Inks in Rose Petals, Sangria, and Black Jack. I also splattered a little silver metallic spray and some water drops to add some interest.
I decided to color in the Fuchsia a little for a monochromatic tone. I added some contrast by using water soluble fineliner pens in the corners (purple for the flowers and gray for the leaves) and pulling them out with a damp paintbrush. I also added some shimmer pen to add sparkle.
I finished by heat embossing the sentiment from the same stamp set in WOW! Silver embossing powder, trimmed it out and popped it on the inkblended panel with foam squares. A few sequins finished the look, and I mounted the panel onto a white note card.
A very different look to yesterday’s Rose I think you’ll agree?!
