Hi everyone!
Today I’m sharing a card that I created with a beautiful stamp set created by the lovely Julie Hickey. It features fun whimsical floral images that just called out for me to do some heat embossing!
I stamped the main image in embossing ink onto a panel of white cardstock and heat embossed in WOW! Metallic Copper embossing powder, a lovely warm chocolate color. I also heat embossed the sentiment from the set in the centre in the same color. I used the flowers and leaves to fill in the rest of the background up to the edges of the panel outside of the circle frame as well, almost as if the circle had been masked off.
For ink blending, I went around the edge with Fresh Lemon ink (Altenew), and then masking off the centre circle, blended out Pinkalicious ink from the edge of the central frame, overlapping the yellow to create pretty peach color. I then used Cosmic Berry to deepen the edge right up against the frame and removed mask.
For the centre, I used the negative of a circle mask, and blended the Cosmic Berry in a circular motion, leaving the blending heavier on the left, to create the illusion of a sphere. I added white gel pen to act as a highlight (as well as some spots in the flower centres and the inner border of the central frame.
To finish, I added Nuvo Shimmer pen to the leaves, and some Glossy Accents for a little shimmer and shine.
