Hi Everyone!
I have a new card to share using the Seasons of Joy stamp set from the latest release from Gina K Designs. This set has a couple of beautiful snowflakes in it and I thought they’d be perfect for using with the Mega Wreath Builder.
I trimmed a panel of cardstock to 4.75″ square and inserted it into the centre of my Memory MISTI in the smallest square stencil of the Mega Wreath Builder. I then stamped the hollow snowflake using the wreath builder technique, switching between pale and darker blue inks (four of each color).
I then switched to the outline snowflake and repeated this with pale and darker purple inks. I actually placed this snowflake over the top the first to create a layered snowflake, making sure the paler purple ink matched up with the paler blue ink.
I used the Merry Christmas sentiment from Handlettered Holiday (also from the new release) for centre, stamped in dark gray ink. To add a little more interest I stamped the ‘snow’ around the outside (moving it on the template once to completely encircle the card) using another paler blue ink.
To finish, I trimmed a panel of pale purple cardstock to 5″ square and mounted the panel on top, then mounted the entire piece onto a 5.25″ square notecard. This fits perfectly into. 5.5″ square envelopes!
I did add a tiny bit of glitz with the Gina K Crystalline Drops in Sparkling Crystal in the centre of every snowflake to finish.
