Hi Everyone!

I’m over on the WOW! Embossing blog today with a fun and SUPER EASY technique – stencilling with glitter. I’m featuring WOW!’s Earth Sparkles. These are biodegradable glitters and therefore a bit more friendly for mother nature.

The secret to this technique is using permanent spray adhesive! I’ve got a video showing you the technique over on my channel. This first card features the beautiful white Beluga Earth Sparkles over ink blending.

I ink blended the Gina K Designs Floral Stencil first, onto Spicy Yoghurt cardstock. I recommend using much brighter inks than you want the final product to look like – the glitter significantly lightens the color.

To get the effect, simply spray the adhesive before removing the stencil, remove the stencil, and add the glitter!

You can brush off any excess with a soft brush. I used Anemone on the project above which features the Erin Lee Creative Scandinavian Stencil.

The main sentiment is from the ELC Stay Weird stamp set and was heat embossed using the brand new Gilded EP from the Toteally Awesome Trio. Available to pre-order now! The photos don’t quite do it justice – it is super sparkly in real life!

This final card features Calamari Earth Sparkles on black cardstock – the Sparkles are fully opaque so dark cardstock works perfectly for real impactful cards!

This Sphere stencil from Altenew is what originally inspired the technique – I thought it looked like a disco ball and wanted to glitter it. Here is the original card which features Earth Sparkles as well – Hammerhead which is a stunning silver.

This is super fun and easy. Just make sure you use a well ventilated area, and clean your stencils in soapy water to get any tack off.
