Hi Everyone!
It’s release time for the Stamp of Approval Adoring You Collection from Catherine Pooler Designs! The collection and the add-on products are now available in the store and I’ve linked to them in the supplies below. Be sure to snap them up before they sell out! I have a couple more cards for you that I created using the collection, one girlier, one more masculine, to show the versatility of the sets.
My first card uses the Happy Together stamp set which has co-ordinating add-on dies which are a MUST because the way the Love You is cut is brilliant. I used my MISTI and colored in Love on the stamp set using a Versamark marker, avoiding the You. I then heat embossed it in WOW! Metallc Gold (leave the stamp in the same position in your MISTI – you can do this with an acrylic block too, but is a little trickier to line up) on Premium White cardstock. I then restamped with Party Dress – the gold embossing resists the ink so you don’t need to be so careful this time – and die cut it with the co-ordinating die.
For the background, I trimmed down a panel of Premium White cardstock to 4″ x 5.25″ and then used the tiny solid heart from the set and stamped it across the panel in Sugared Lavender and Sweet Sixteen. I used Black Jack to stamp the outline heart. I then added gold dots using my Versamark marker again and heat embossing in WOW! gold again. I also edged the panel with my Versamark pad and heat embossed again.
The entire panel was popped onto a white card base and I adhered the die cut with foam squares. I stamped the ‘Sure Do’ on Midnight cardstock in Versmark and heat embossed in WOW! Opaque Bright White, trimmed it out and adhered it with foam squares. As a finishing touch, I added a few CPD Inspiration Point sequins.
For my second card I wanted to create a more masculine look. I created a side folding card base with Catherine Pooler Smoke and Mirrors cardstock. I then used the tiny quarter circle pattern to stamp the circles in Black Jack at random across the cardstock, rotating a quarter turn and stamping four times to create each circle. You can see where they overlap and they line up perfectly.
I then stamped the large Congratulations sentiment in Versamark and heat embossed in WOW! Turkish Nights embossing powder. As a finishing touch I added Nuvo Crystal Drops in the centre of each circle.
I will be back soon with some more inspiration for you!
