Hi everyone!
I hope your week is going well. Things have been insanely busy for me recently, with lots of work due to the boss being on his hols. I realised last night that I made this card a while ago and didn’t get around to posting it. Just a little bit of fun on a weekend.
To create the card I die cut some Simon Says Stamp fog cardstock using the Simon Flowering Vine Collage die. I also ran it through the Big Shot again using the Papertrey Ink Linen Texture Plate (I wish more companies would produce texture plates, they’re great for adding interest without doing a full emboss). I adhered some acetate to the back and then liberally applied foam tape all around the back of the piece, being sure to create a seal for the sequins to avoid any escaping!
For the background I created a soft wash of watercolor on some Strathmore 500 cold press watercolor cardstock with blues and purples by Peerless. When it was dry, I trimmed it down and adhered it to a card base made from Neenah Solar White 110lb cardstock.
To finish the card I sprinkled a selection of iridescent sequins (I think they’re a mix by Lucy’s Cards) into the centre of the watercolor panel and then adhered the collage frame over the top. For the sentiment I got out my trusty Dymo (it’s a vintage one from eBay) and popped it up on foam squares.
That’s it! Hope you like it. While I technically made this on a weekend, I’m posting it Wednesday so I’ve added it to Simon’s Work it Wednesday.
