Hi everyone!
It’s time for another watercolor challenge with Happy Little Stampers. This time as usual it is Anything Goes but in October we’re looking for a twist with ‘Gold’.
To create the card, I used Daniel Smith watercolors in a variety of blues and pinks. I layered several times and spritzed with water, as well as tipping the watercolor cardstock to create the pattern you see here. I also added some Finetec gold watercolor for the sparkle.
To complete the card, I stamped a sentiment by Verve Stamps from their Kindness Matters set with Versafine Onyx Black ink using my MISTI to ensure I got the sentiment as black as possible (stamping over mica paint like Finetec is quite tough!) and where it wasn’t black enough, I used a finetip sharpie to define the sentiment more. I then backed it to a Neenah Solar White card. As a final finishing touch, I diecut a tiny teeny little heart from gold glitter cardstock and adhered it.
There’s a quick video on my YouTube if you want to see a little more about the technique I used which you can find here:
There is $20 up for grabs for the winner to spend in the Happy Little Stampers store. Good luck everyone!

I love the gold sheen on your watercoloured background Jenny – it is so soft and beautiful. The whole design is so classy!
