Hi everyone!
It’s an Easter theme at the AAA Cards Challenge today, and there is $20 up for grabs for the winner courtesy of Happy Little Stampers!!
For my card today I used a sketchy painty easter egg wood stamp by Hero Arts stamped with Versamark and heat embossed it in Judikins Iridescent Sparkle embossing powder.
I then did a simple watercolor wash with three colors (orange, yellow and red) mixed with Daniel Smith paints using Tim Holtz watercolor cardstock. I created them using Alizarin Crimson and Azo Yellow.
To finish the card I splattered it using a brush with Dylusions spray in black, and stamped part of the sentiment (Easter) from Simon Says Stamp My Kind of Peep, and the Happy and heart from Simon’s I See You stamp set.
My card base was made using 110lb Neenah Solar White and both pieces were rounded using the 1/2″ corner chomper. I adhered the piece using 2″ double sided tape.
Hope you liked it and that you join in with us this week! Have a wonderful Easter.
Jenny
Fabulous! Loving the bright sunny colours and that rounded corner at the top – distinctive.
Oh Jenny! Such a simply design with a huge impact! I love the pop of colour and the embossed egg is amazing and the black splatters make the card complete. Great card!
I love this Jenny – the watercolour wash that you did is so pretty – love the spring colours! Fabulous card!
